What is Career Readiness?

From the National Association of Colleges and Employers:

“Career readiness is a foundation from which to demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare the college educated for success in the workplace and lifelong career management.”

Much of the education and support CPD provides our student body focuses on skills for short term and lifelong career development, and helps students connect the dots between academic and professional experience.

The 8 competencies are defined by NACE:

  • Career and Self-Development
  • Communication
  • Critical Thinking
  • Equity and Inclusion
  • Leadership
  • Professionalism
  • Teamwork
  • Technology
