CPD highly recommends joining professional associations in your areas of interest. Professional associations exist for a variety of interest areas across the environmental field.
Membership in a professional association provides access to field-specific news, job and internship postings, mentorship, professional development opportunities, and volunteer opportunities. Associations also provide information on conferences, scholarships, and webinars. They can be a targeted source of information on potential employers based on sponsors and membership.
The student rate for most professional associations ranges from free to $40 while enrolled in an accredited institution. Additionally, associations will often provide other discounts for memberships that can be utilized after graduation.
